Designed by Greg Norman to exist in harmony with the natural desert landscape, Fire is a tough and, needless to say, a fiery challenge for golfers of all abilities. While the Earth course uses bold colours to provide its contrasts, Fire’s are more refined. The native grasses display a golden glint in the sunlight, and away from the immaculate playing surfaces, large terracotta bunkers punctuate the rolling terrain.
Framed by a wide variety of captivating flora, carefully selected to reflect the overall theme and to enhance its natural setting, Fire is in complete harmony with its surroundings.
Thanks to the undulating topography and stunning natural features, each tee has a unique perspective, increasing both interest and challenge. Tee placements offer variety, with length, direction and elevation constantly changing throughout the course. Strong bunkering has been carefully placed to catch wayward strokes, forcing players to concentrate carefully on tee shot placement.
As for your approach, greens stress the importance of positioning so going directly at the flag may not always be the best option – a wayward shot could carry a heavy penalty. The Fire course is a challenge you’ll relish and an experience you’ll want to repeat.
A proud host of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai – the culmination of The Race to Dubai and European Tour season. This sharply defined, sculptured course inspired by the great parklands of Europe and North America, paints a magnificent pastiche of ora, rolling terrain and rushing water. These natural components also provide differing angles and changing perspectives from each tee.
Welcome to the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The Academy is the most advanced in the region and run by a team of fully qualified PGA Professionals who are here to assist and take you through every aspect of the game.
Whether you are looking for an individual lesson or a group clinic, the Professionals and the Academy team are able to cater for your needs and offer an excellent golfing experience. Lessons can be arranged to suit your own schedule and can be booked either through the Golf Academy reservations desk or directly through your golf professional. Equipment will be provided at no extra cost to those who do not have their own.
Jumeirah Golf Estates Golf Pro Shop is home to high quality apparel, clubs, and golf accessories. Brands such as FootJoy, Greg Norman, Peter Millar, and Ralph Lauren ensure there is something to suit everyone; with fully trained staff on hand to assist.

Our name is inspired by the native Arabian Fox which, like us, calls the oasis that is Jumeirah Golf Estates its home. Be sure to be on the lookout for some of our furry friends exploring the fairways the next time you are enjoying a smooth beverage out on the terrace.
